Ryder’s Story Ryder is a cat who loves to roam. He came to us seven years ago as a teeny kitten – he was born a barn cat, and he rode under our neighbor’s car from up past St. Cloud. They tried to coax him out about halfway down to no avail. Our kids were able to get him out and he quickly became a part of our family. And that is how he got his name. He thinks he is a dog (we have three) and likes to go out whenever they do. He has made a ton of friends in the neighborhood and typically stays within a one-block radius. Unfortunately, one cross street is a bit busier, and well-meaning individuals who aren’t familiar with him sometimes mistake him for lost. Two years ago, around this same time of year, he went missing. It took us over a week to track him down, and he was one day away from being adopted to another family at the Humane Society. The next day he received his microchip! We were so grateful yesterday when we received the call from your clinic and highly recommend all pets be chipped. Ryder is also sporting a new breakaway collar with our name, number, and address. As well as a note that he knows his way home! But should he ever again find himself on the opposite side of town, we will rest easy knowing his Home Again microchip will help him find his way back to us.
